Education Seminar Series: Risk, Vulnerability, and Resilience in Water Infrastructure

Changing climate coupled with growing demands on water supply in the Bay Area has resulted in unpredictable rainfall, droughts, flooding and other water-related challenges. Please join us and learn from Subject Matter Expert, Dr. Walter Grayman, a national thought leader in the area of risk, vulnerability and resilience in water infrastructure.  Dr. Grayman will share his expertise presenting factors and challenges that impact how we approach water infrastructure design and operations.  Select Bay Area water agencies will address their long-term resiliency and reliability goals and present their approach and investments to become more resilient. Valley Water will present its investments in infrastructure projects and technology including its Purified Water Program and how the program will help lead Silicon Valley out of drought. Contra Costa Water District will address the initiatives of the Los Vaqueros Project including Bay Area water supply reliability and water quality while protecting Delta fisheries and other ecosystem benefits. City of Santa Cruz will present their reinvestment efforts including challenges driven by climate change impacts. Don’t miss this exciting and informative Webinar!
